The story behind the website name
My son Joshua once asked me if I would dot-com “BadWizards” for him, and I said yes, it sounded like a great domain. He said he thought of it because he and his friend Sam were trying to a buy a couple of beers once in an inner city grocery store run by an Asian man who spoke with a heavy accent. Sam asked for some type of beer, and the man said, “We only have Bad Wizard!” Josh and Sam looked at each other like good Northwestern guys always ready for a new microbrew, and they're like “Sure, why not?” So Sam says, “Yeah, give us two.” The grocery guy reaches into the cold case and pulls out two Budweisers. Sam says, “What happened to the Bad Wizards?” And the grocery guys grimaces and gestures with the two bottles in his hand indignantly, “This is Bad Wizard!”
